Happy Easter weekend! Happy Passover! Happy Holi! Happy Ramadan!
April, and the spring season in general, are full of special days and celebrations, no matter which ones you and your families celebrate. We can all appreciate the lengthening hours of sunshine, the warmer temperatures and the newly greening landscape around us, not to mention the wonderful colours and fragrances of the blossoms on trees and in gardens. As for Library news, the most recent Scholastic flyer has been given out to all the classes from Division 2 to 12. Our next Book Fair will happen in November 2022, so if you are wanting to buy books to benefit our school before then, please take a look at the flyer and also see what's online. Remember, there is free shipping for orders over $40! Our classroom code is needed for your orders to benefit our school's library: RC196303 The library has reopened at lunch break time! Many students are taking advantage of this and are enjoying coming into the library at lunchtime to read, colour or play board games. I'd like to say a huge thank you to my Library Monitors who have continued helping with many library jobs throughout the school year, who are also excited to be again supervising the students who come in. The Red Cedar reading club is heading towards the finish line. Voting will happen in May this year and many students have already completed their reading goal to enable them to participate in the voting process. I'm still encouraging all the readers to keep reading until the very end, in case they haven't yet read the book that may become their favourite! If you ever have any questions or concerns, please contact me at the school or on the contact page of this website. Thanks for your continued support and for taking the time to read with your children at home.
