Hello Discovery Community!
Finally, I have a few moments to spend creating an update to our Library Learning Commons Blog. We've had a very busy first two months of school, and with Terry Fox Run, Orange Shirt Day, Thanksgiving and Halloween all behind us now, we have the next two months, including Remembrance Day, a virtual Book Fair, and lots of learning to squeeze in ahead before we have our winter break, starting on December 18th. Library Monitors have started their training to do this important job. We have five groups of helpers who will be volunteering their time at lunch recess to help with many jobs in our library learning commons, including supervising groups of students to come into the library at lunch recess on a scheduled basis. Our Virtual Book Fair is going to be during the week of November 22 - 26th. More details will be coming and as soon as I have the website link I'll share it here on our website. We are also looking forward to the arrival of our new pottery kiln, which should be any day now! It will be exciting for the students to be able to do some creative work with clay in the near future.
