Is this June or is it "Junuary"? We are in the middle of a wet, grey, cool month so far, but when the sun comes out and heats things up we are comforted that summer is just around the corner! This week on our website you'll find some wonderful stories to listen to and watch.
The grade 6/7s will find Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters, an African folk tale told by John Steptoe, with stunning illustrations and a wonderful message. This is a book I often read to this grade group at school. The grade 4/5s will find a link to Stone Soup, by Jon J. Muth, a retelling of a classic story about the value of sharing, and the idea that we are stronger together than when we are apart. The grade 2/3s will find a great story called The World Needs More Purple People, written by Kristen Bell and Benjamin Hart, illustrated by Daniel Wiseman. The Grade K/1s will find a funny story, Harry the Dirty Dog, written by Gene Zion, illustrated by Margaret Bloy Graham, and read by Betty White. Please leave me a comment, question or message on the Contact Page and I'll be sure to answer you!
